Lamb Propane was started by Buster Lamb in 1963. A year later in 1964 Earl Stanfield, Buster’s nephew, went to work for him. In 1965 Earl left Lamb Propane and started Stanfield Butane and Propane along with his Dad, EV Stanfield, and his brother, Danny Stanfield. Buster helped Earl with this process of starting his own propane business. Much later Buster sold Lamb Propane to Chris Lambert. In 1993 Earl bought Lamb Propane from Chris and kept the name the same since it was a family name. At the time the company was located in Romayor, but Earl soon relocated the company to Coldspring in 1994. Coldspring has been the home of Lamb Propane for the past 25 years.
Although located in Coldspring, Lamb Propane services a large area, including all of San Jacinto County, the entire Lake Livingston area, parts of Liberty, Harden, Harris, Montgomery, Walker, Trinity, and Houston Counties.
